At its meeting of March 13, 2006, the Academic Senate passed the following Senate Management Resolution presented by Senator David for the Curriculum and Research Committee.

SENATE MANAGEMENT RESOLUTION

ADDITION TO MEMBERSHIP OF THE IRB TASK FORCE

WHEREAS, SM-F05-1 created an Institutional Review Board (IRB) Task Force to review SJSU IRB policies and procedures and determine if any changes are warranted; and

WHEREAS, broad representation of key SJSU stakeholders is important to assure that any recommendations reflect their views; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force membership specified in SM-F05-1 does not include any representation of faculty from the General Unit; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That a representative from the General Unit be added to the IRB Task Force.
