AB 540 (CA Nonresident Tuition Exemption)
What is AB 540?
If you do not meet the residency requirements but attended, graduated, or achieved the equivalent from a California school, you may qualify for the California Nonresident Tuition Exemption (AB 540).

NOTE: If you are filing a CA Dream Act Application (CADAA) for financial aid consideration, the AB 540 affidavit is already included in the application. However, if you are not filing a CADAA and wish to be considered for the AB 540 Exemption, you must submit a California Non-Resident Tuition Exemption Request Form [pdf].
