Jan English-Lueck
Jan English-Lueck is a professor of anthropology and a distinguished fellow at the
Institute for the Future. She is the author of the book “Cultures@Silicon Valley”
— an anthropological expedition into the everyday lives of people living in and connected
to Silicon Valley.
In addition, she has written several ethnographies about cultural futures ranging
from California’s alternative healers to China’s scientists. She holds a doctoral
degree in philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
