Justin Rietz
Justin Rietz is a professor in the Department of Economics at the College of Social
Sciences. His research focuses on monetary policy, including analysis of inflation,
the Federal Reserve, international currencies, cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin; macroeconomic
policy affecting economic growth, employment, the minimum wage; and the testing of
economic theory using experimental techniques.
He holds a doctoral degree in economics from the University of California Santa Cruz and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley.
