Yvonne Kwan
Yvonne Y. Kwan is an assistant professor and the program coordinator of Asian American
Studies. Her research focuses on ethnic studies curriculum and pedagogy, Asian American
history and activism (locally and nationally), and Southeast Asia American refugee
diaspora and trauma.
She is an expert on intergenerational Asian American family dynamics, mental health and education. She holds a master’s degree in race and ethnic studies in education from UCLA and a doctoral degree in sociology from UC Santa Cruz.
