Drop-In Hours

Fall 2025 Drop-In Advising: 
Aug 18 – Sept 9 (Mon–Thurs)
Hours: 9:00–11:30 AM & 1:30–3:30 PM

Drop-ins are for quick 10–15 minute questions, no appointment needed and served on a first-come, first-served basis. Join us in-person at the Undergraduate Advising Hub or virtually via Zoom. For virtual drop-ins, check in through Spartan Connect during drop-in hours.

Academic Advising Appointments

During the first few weeks of the semester, we offer drop-in advising to accommodate the high volume of students needing to meet. If you have an extenuating circumstance and urgently need a 30-minute appointment, make an appointment through Spartan Connect or email your assigned Exploratory Student Academic Success Specialist to scheudle your meeting. 

Assigned Exploratory Advisor

All Exploratory students have been contacted via email by their assigned Exploratory Advisor. If you're unsure who your advisor is, please email exploratory-advising@sjsu.edu for assistance.

Career Center Resources

Unsure on what major or career you'd like to pursue? Take the Focus2 self-assesment. This self-assessment will help you explore majors and careers while discovering your work interest.

Once you complete this self-assessment, schedule an appointment with a Career Center Counselor to discuss your results.

Exploratory SSC Updates

We moved locations! The Exploratory Student Sucess Center has reopened in-person as a part of the Undergraduate Advising Hub at the Student Services Center (1st floor). The Student Services Center is located inside the North Parking Garage on the corner of S. 10th and E. San Fernando Street.
