The Interdisciplinary Computer Summer Institute, Developing University-Industry Partnerships / Creating Educational and Career Pathways
Faculty teams from interdisciplinary computing programs along with industry professionals to prepare non-CS students with computing skill sets needed for the workforce.
Examples of interdisciplinary computing programs include Data Science, Bioinformatics, Quantitative Biology, Computer Science Minor for Biologists, and Applied Computing for Behavioral and Social Scientists.
This event is co-sponsored by a National Science Foundation IUSE (Improving Undergraduate STEM Education) grant and by the Center for Faculty Development at San José State University.
