Funding & Scholarship Options

There are funding sources that can assist students with tuition, textbooks, transportation, and acquiring assistive technology, etc..Listed below are a few of those funding sources:

  • CA Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) - For students who have disabilities to secure employment, develop or promote in their education, and live independently in their community of choice. Help students build a plan that’s right for them:
      • Disability and benefits programs
      • Job search and interview skills
      • Job training and tools
      • College and textbooks
      • Disability equipment
      • Support services like childcare or transportation

  • Orion Fund - Awards grants (up to $5,000) to California college students under the age of 32 who have a serious illness or injury affecting their ability to stay in school. 
  • Dale M. Schoettler Scholarship - For visually impaired students. 46 $10,000 Scholarships awarded on a rolling basis.
