They earned both their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Education, with a concentration in Adult Education, from San Francisco State University.

Katie began their work in higher education as a Resident Assistant during their undergraduate years. While completing their master’s degree, they worked in Residential Life at SF State, supporting students’ academic success, advising the Rainbow Living Learning Community, and serving as a conduct case manager. As a first generation college graduate, Katie is especially passionate about working with first generation students who are paving the way for future generations.

In addition to their higher education experience, Katie taught college readiness at the high school level and later worked on Oracle’s global Diversity Recruiting team.
