Technical Requirements

ISE Electives  (6 cr to 9 cr) 
Any ISE 200 level course other than the MS EM program core courses and ISE 201 acceptable

BUS Electives (3 cr to 6 cr) 
Any BUS 200 level MBA 3 credit hour course not restricted to MBA students only acceptable.

Some exceptions are: BUS 235x series analytics courses, BUS 280 not acceptable. The following four BUS courses BUS 243, BUS 253, BUS 284, and BUS 286 are recommended as Econ prerequisites are waived. Students may be required to complete an Econ course as a prerequisite if any BUS course(s) other than the four listed here are selected.  

Note**You cannot enroll in the BUS courses on your own. You need to contact Professor Patel to get enrolled in the BUS courses. The  prerequisite courses, Econ 1A or Econ 1B, for taking BUS courses other than the four listed above can be completed online by completing equivalent Econ 101 and Econ 102 courses. After completing these two courses, email a copy of your transcript to minnie.patel@sjsu.edu.
