Native Graduation Ceremony

The Native Graduation Ceremony is a powerful affirmation of Indigenous knowledge, strength, resilience, and cultural pride. In celebratory spirits, we honor student achievement while honoring culture, community, family, and ancestral guidance. This ceremony is open to any graduating SJSU student who would like to sign up and participate. 

The 2025 Native Graduation Ceremony Registration Deadline is March 21, 2025. 

Date: Sunday, May 18, 2025

Time: 2:00 - 4:00 P.M.

• Who is eligible to participate?

  • Any SJSU students who will be graduating in Spring 2025, Summer 2025, and Fall 2025 can participate in Spring 2025's Native Graduation Ceremony. This includes undergraduates, graduates, and certificate programs. Must regsiter in order to participte.

• How many guests can I bring?

  • Due to limited capacity we ask that you bring no more than 16 guests.

• What is the dress code for this ceremony?

  • There is no dress code for the event, and cap and gowns are not required. We encourage you to enjoy and celebrate in the ways you would like, including wearing cultural regalia.
