Bio

Virpi Outila is an Assistant Professor in International Business at the Lucas College of Business at San Jose State University. Her research interests centre around people management in cross-cultural contexts, headquarter-subsidiary relations, practice/knowledge transfer in multinational enterprises, and emerging economies. In her research, Virpi uses qualitative research methods with a special focus on language sensitive research methods. Her research has been published in leading journals of management and international business, such as Organization Studies, Journal of World Business, Journal of International Management, Management and Organization Review, and Critical perspectives on International Business.
