Give Assistance
You can help support SJSU Cares by donating food and toiletries, donating money, volunteering your time, or helping spread the word by giving a presentation.
Donate
Individual food/toiletry donations can be made at the Spartan Food Pantry during operational hours. See our donation guide for more information.
Fiscal donations sometimes can help us make a bigger impact by purchasing food/supplies in bulk and providing more flexibility in use depending on the case-by-case student emergency. If you are able to make a one time or recurring online donation, please give today to one or both of the options below.

Volunteer
Help us help Spartans! SJSU Cares depends on the many volunteers from campus and the
community to help provide support to SJSU's students in need.
Volunteer positions help keep our Spartan Food Pantry running by assisting with stocking/inventory management tasks, student check-in/out, compost trips, etc.
1) View Opportunities & Sign Up using a Google/Gmail account is easy. Use the Volunteer Selection link to find a volunteer spot you can fill. Donate Clothing to our Partner Offices
Our campus has two main options for clothing assistance. One for everyday wear & career-focused clothing.
The Clothes Closet, operated by the Office of Sustainability, is designed to help alleviate two significant issues: massive waste generated annually by discarded clothing and students, faculty, and staff unable to meet their basic needs. Visit their website for information on donations.
The Career Closet, operated by the Career Center, has a focus on providing students
with free professional clothing and up to one complete professional outfit per academic
year. This can assist with interviews, job fairs, etc. Visit their website for information
on donations.
