Counseling and Psychological Services - CAPS provides quality services to students so they can achieve their goals of becoming
successful graduates of San José State University, both academically and socially.
CSU Early Start Program gives students an opportunity to sharpen their mathematics and writing skills in
the summer before the start of their freshman year.
Educational Opportunity Program - EOP is designed to improve student academic support of first-generation, low-income
and educationally disadvantaged students.

SJSU Testing Office is a comprehensive testing and assessment department, certified as a National College
Test Association (NCTA) Certified Testing Center. We provide a wide range of test-related
services, including local, state, and national test programs.
The San José State University Writing Center offers a variety of resources to help students become better writers, all services
are free for SJSU students.
