UC-CSU NXTerra is a resource for college teachers from across all disciplines and anyone seeking to enhance their teaching and learning about the climate crisis, critical sustainability, and climate justice studies, both inside and outside the classroom.

"As part of the University of California Office of the President (UCOP) UC Carbon Neutrality Initiative and the sustainability efforts of the California State University system — our mission at NXTerra is to enable and scale up climate change education in California and across the world to reflect the rising urgency of the climate crisis."

The City of San José has long been a leader in sustainability and climate-forward policy. For example, under Mayor Liccardo's leadership, the City has launched a bold plan to align San José with the Paris Climate Accord's emission reduction goals and lead the country in building the sustainable city of the future. Programs such as Climate Smart San José and San Jose Clean Energy were launched to help make this city more sustainable.

The County of Santa Clara is dedicated to sustainability and climate action through community programs, partnerships and policy development. To build upon a history of environmental protection and solidify commitment to this work, the Santa Clara City Council added a Sustainability Strategic Pillar, entitled Promote Sustainability and Environmental Protection, as one of seven City Council Policy Priorities.

HP developed and provided a wide variety of hardware components, as well as software and related services to consumers, small and medium-sized businesses and large enterprises including customers in government, health, and education sectors.

Acterra is a Bay Area nonprofit that brings people together to create local solutions addressing current environmental challenges. Acterra's staff provides environmental education in the areas of energy and climate change, corporate sustainability, and advocacy to build an informed and empowered citizenry. Their programs include Workplace Sustainability, Beneficial Electrification for All, Healthy Plate, Healthy Planet, and continuing education through You(th) Be the Change and a Public Lecture Series

The Sierra Club is an environmental organization with chapters in all 50 US states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico. The club was one of the first large-scale environmental preservation organizations in the world and currently promotes environmental policies in government. Recent focuses of the club include promoting sustainable energy and mitigating global warming, as well as opposition to the use of coal, hydropower and nuclear power.

Climate Voice is an organization focused on getting companies into the fight for climate policies. The climate policy debate is intensifying, as the stakes rise and the time for meaningful change is almost running out. ClimateVoice brings employee pressure to get companies to use their powerful influence in this moment. By focusing on corporate campaigns, engaging employees, and recruiting students, they hope to bring more companies into the fight for climate policies.

Elders Climate Action is a group of elder climate activists committed to a non-partisan effort to end the climate crisis and build a just and sustainable future for future generations. Some are new to climate activism whikle others have been working on this for years however, each of them has faced a personal reckoning deciding there is no better use of their wisdom, strength, time, and resources than to join in this fight. They believe that collective action is the most effective way to force policy changes on the scale and timetable that will be necessary to protect all of us.

The Climate Reality Project is an organization who’s mission is to catalyze a global solution to the climate crisis by making urgent action a necessity across every level of society. The Silicon Valley Chapter serves the area by educating the public about climate change, advocating for legislative and economic policies that support a sustainable future, and taking action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
