Your email signature is more than just contact information — it’s an extension of San José State University’s brand. A consistent, professional signature reinforces our identity and helps build trust with students, colleagues and partners.

To make it easy, we’ve created a simple SJSU Email Signature Generator that lets you create an official signature in just a few clicks.

Whether you're faculty, staff or a student employee, using a standard signature helps present a unified and polished image across campus communications.

How to Use the Signature Generator

  1. Use the Button below to visit the Email Signature Generator Site (Requires SJSU Login)
  2. Pick a Logo: Choose Spirit Mark, University Seal, or Rankings Banner.
  3. Fill In Your Details: Name, Title, Division, Department, etc.
  4. Add Links & Social (Optional):
    • Up to two custom links
    • Check boxes for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X
  5. Copy and Paste into Gmail:
    • Highlight your signature , hit "Ctrl+C / Cmd+C" or click "Copy to clipboard" button.
    • Open Gmail settings (gear icon → “See all settings” → “General” → “Signature”).
    • Paste (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V) into the signature field.
    • Remove "_" between social media icons if its copied over.
    • Set the new Signature for new emails and reply/forward.
    • Scroll down to Save Changes—you’re done!
