The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) at San Jose State University
The NSLS is the largest leadership honor society in the United States. Our NSLS chapter at San Jose State University was started in 2020. Our local chapter is part of the national organization with 700+ chapters and over 1.4 million members.

Where can I learn more about the NSLS?

How much is it to join the NSLS?
There is a $95 fee to join the NSLS but we have a "scholarship" to waive the fee. The application is located here and we will be giving out multiple codes for the Fall 2024 semester! The deadline to fill out the form for the scholarship is September 23, 2024.
What do I have to do to become inducted?
Our five-step program takes approximately 12 hours over the course of the semester at your pace. The steps include pay your $95 dues fees, attend an Orientation, participation in Leadership Training Day, attendance at 3 speaker broadcasts, and taking part in at least 3 Success Networking Team (SNT) meetings, and finally the Induction! Is this recognized on campus?
Yes, the SJSU Chapter is hosted out of the Office of Student Involvement on campus. As of 2024, we have 200+ in our chapter and there are more than 1.4 million members nationwide.
Are there leadership roles within the organization that I can run for?
Yes, there are. Apply here for various roles within the Executive Board for the Spring and Fall of 2024. We are always recruting new and motivated members! Email Student President bhavika.prasannakumar@sjsu.edu for more information on being involved in the Executive Board.
What do I have to do to be nominated?
If you were not already nominated by a faculty or staff member on campus, you can fill out our self-nomination form to join our chapter on your own!
