*Packages and letter mail deliveries are accepted between 9am-7pm from M-Sat

How to Address Your Mail

If not addressed completely, you will not receive your mail, and it will be returned to the sender.

Your box number is your ROOM NUMBER.

Please use the building abbreviation with the room number (for example, WT 300 or CVA 321)

Packages

Please allow 24-48 hours for packages to be scanned in and processed. Note that weekend deliveries (Friday-Saturday) may take longer.

Do not come to the mailroom if you have only received an email by the mail carrier. You will receive an email notification from the uhs-mailroom@sjsu.edu once your package/mail is ready for pick-up.

Letter Mail

Residents in CVA, CVB, and Joe West will receive mail in their physical mailboxes located within their building.

Residents in Washburn, CV2, and CVC will go to the Joe West mailroom to pick up their mail.

Residents in SVP will go to the SVP mailroom to pick up their mail.

Mailbox Combinations
CVA, CVB, Joe West Residents ONLY

You can access your mailbox combination on the Housing Portal.

If you cannot retrieve your mailbox combination, please contact or visit the Housing office for assistance, located on the 2nd floor of Campus Village Building B.

The mailroom staff does not have access to mailbox combinations and will not be able to give it to you.

If your physical mailbox combination lock is not working, please go to the Joe West mailroom, where the mailroom staff can assist you.

Floral Deliveries

If you wish to send flowers to a resident of on-campus housing, please use their complete mailing address (including their box number as described above) and contact phone number. It is important to inform the florist that they must deliver during the Joe West Mailroom open hours.

Letter Mail Forwarding

No longer living on campus? Please follow the instructions below.

Letter mail will only be forwarded for three months, or during the summer if you are returning in the fall.

  1. Fill this out: Mail Forwarding form.
  2. Notify your family, friends, SJSU departments, bill collectors, and any other businesses you send mail to or receive mail from of your new address.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not forward packages or handle outgoing mail.

Package Pick up Authorization

Need someone to pick up your package for you?

  1. Fill out this Google Form to authorize them: Package Pick up Authorization Form
  2. Once we receive this form, the person you authorized may pick up your package. They will need to show their ID as proof of authorization.
