Bio
Dr. Tina Korani, MFA Associate Professor of Digital Media School of Journalism and Mass Communications, San José State University.
Dr. Tina Korani is an award-winning educator and researcher pioneering AI and advanced technology integration for inclusive educational experiences. As an Associate Professor at San José State University, she leads groundbreaking initiatives applying artificial intelligence, AR/VR, and generative AI to create accessible learning environments, with current focus on AI-powered accessibility solutions in K-12 education.
With over $1 million in research funding from major tech companies and organizations, Dr. Korani's work advances inclusive edtech and immersive educational media. She has published extensively on AI's transformative role in visual communication and educational technology.
Dr. Korani serves as Vice Head of the Visual Communication Division for the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) and is an Adobe Education Institute Fellow on multiple tech advisory boards. She has also been featured by Meta for innovative use of immersive technologies in student learning. Her excellence in educational innovation has earned the CSU Faculty Innovation and Leadership Award and keynote speaking roles at major conferences.
Through workshops at Stanford, Cornell, and global tech summits, she advances AI ethics in education and digital accessibility, driven by technology's power to create equitable educational experiences for all learners.
