How does applying for graduation work?

Once students reach 85 earned units or more are able to apply online for graduation.Watch this Online Graduation Application Video about how to apply for graduation.

Do I still have to take Chem30A for the major if I have taken Chem1A?

No. If you have taken a more advanced Chemistry class, then you do not have to take Chem30A.

- Can I be exempt from Kin100W?
- Only if you have taken and passed 100W in a different major, can you be exempt. But 100W is required by the major and must be taken.
- If I participate in a sport/physical activity can I get the 2 units of PE required
by the university to be waived?
- If you are involved in an intercollegiate sport, 1 unit of PE is waived. However, all students are required to take the 2 units of PE.

- If I am a Rehab Science student who wants to apply to a DPT, do I need to complete the
human cadaver lab?

Yes, you need to have completed the human cadaver lab in bio 65 Human Anatomy prior to applying to graduate school.

- Do I have to take Stats?

No, courses listed in Math Area B4 can meet that requirement, but Statistics is recommended as it is a pre-requisite for many graduate school programs.

- Which SJSU Upper Division GE courses should I take?

There are many options, but KIN 169 Area S, KIN 163 Area R, and KIN 111 Area V are useful recommended choices for KIN majors.
