The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir

The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is dedicated to quality education in Arts, Humanities, Sciences and the Professions for advancement of knowledge to promote progress and prosperity.

The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is located in the liberated, northern Pakistani state of Jammu and Kashmir with the main campus being centered in the district of Muzaffarabad, about a 3 hour drive from Islamabad. The main AJKU campus in Mozaffarabad is split into two parts by the River Neelum, the City Campus and Chella Campus. The Chella Campus is located near the river bank while the City Campus is closer to the business center of the city. The remaining 2 campuses of AJKU are located in the Neelum and Kotli districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

In addition to the university’s partnership with San José State University to develop a world class center for Applied Linguistcs, the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir offers Undergraduate, Graduate and Ph.D degrees in a variety of disciplines including Economics, Art and Design, Law, English, Biotechnology, Botany, Anesthesia and Critical Care Sciences and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences. AJKU is taking great strides toward providing quality education to its student population through thorough academic evaluations of its academic programs.
