Packaging Laboratory
About
The packaging laboratory at San José State University is one of the country’s best equipped facilities for the design, fabrication and testing of packages. The lab acts as a student facility but is also utilized for contract testing by companies looking for a third party unbiased test facility. We engage in development of test methodologies for clients who are not able to have dedicated packaging departments. The operation of a Package design and testing facility at a university allows for the input of new ideas from students in the design process and gives the students real-world issues to problem solve. The lab has evolved into a collaborative environment in which the students spend most of their study time working together.
