Meet With Your Enrollment Counselor
Our SJSU Online Enrollment Counseling team is passionate about helping you continue your journey towards completing your bachelor's degree. Their collective experiences as transfer students, first-generation college students, graduates of the Cal State system, and admissions and enrollment counselors have provided them with a wealth of knowledge, insights, and empathy for potential SJSU Online students.

Reuel Evangelista
Reuel grew up in San José and — although life challenges caused him to take more than a decade to graduate from college — he persisted to complete his degree and would not be where he is today without it. As an SJSU Online Enrollment Counselor, he enjoys learning about each future students' story and building a rapport with them to make them feel comfortable and supported. He is also proud that students receive 100% support from when they start their application through graduation. Outside of work, Reuel loves spending time with his family and maltipoos, bowling, and cooking his parent's family recipes.

Joanne Young
Joanne grew up in Fairfield, CA and changed majors a few times at her local community college before — thanks to her persistence and support system — she identified her desire to work in education. As an SJSU Online Enrollment Counselor, she loves learning about why future students are excited to work on their degrees and is proud that SJSU Online provides flexibility for the other roles a student has outside of school. Outside of work, she enjoys going on walks with her dog and drinking a cup of coffee while listening to music.
