40th Annual CSU Student Research Competition Schedule and Program

The 40th annual CSU Student Research Competition will be held Thursday, April 23 to Saturday, April 25, 2026 at San José State University.

Thursday, April 23
4-6 p.m.: Optional Early Registration, Boba Social, and Bowling Tickets
                at the Student Union Ballroom

Friday, April 24
7 a.m.: Registration Opens — Student Union Ballroom
8 a.m.: Opening Remarks and Good Luck — Student Union Ballroom
9 a.m.-5 p.m.: Student Presentations — Clark Hall

Saturday, April 25
9 a.m.: Registration Opens
10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Awards Ceremony
12:00-1:30 p.m.: Buffet Lunch
                   ... All at the Student Union Ballroom

Annual Timeline

  1. person gestures proudly in front of presentation opening slideDuring fall and early spring of the 2025–26 school year, each campus holds a competition or selection process to decide who travels to SJSU for the CSU-wide competition. Contact the coordinator on your campus to compete.

  2. February/March 2026: if you're selected to represent your campus at the CSU competition, register and upload your slides by the deadline.

  3. In April, the program schedule and your individual presentation time and location can be found on this page.
