Community Design and Development

The Advanced Certificate program in Community Design and Development provides students the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills required to address a community's needs through the design of the physical environment. Courses examine the interactions among social, economic, political, and cultural factors, and the built environment.

The certificate program is open to matriculated students enrolled in any graduate program at San José State University (SJSU). The program is also open to students who hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Non-matriculated students may register for courses through SJSU Open University.
