A graduate credit course incorporating theory, simulation, psychomotor skills, and clinical practice to assess selected disorders of the integumentary system and manage wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, and pressure ulcers.
Ostomy Care, Course Description
A graduate credit course incorporating theory, simulation, psychomotor skills, and clinical practice to assess selected disorders of the gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems and manage fecal and urinary diversions, continent diversions, fistulas, and percutaneous tubes.
Foot and Nail Care, Course Description
The Foot and Nail Course is a 5-unit course (40 hours of theory, 20 hours of skills practice, 40 hours of practicum) incorporating theory, psychomotor skills, and clinical reasoning skills in the assessment and management of selected disorders of the lower extremities, feet, and nails. The purpose of the pre-certification course is to offer post-baccalaureate nursing specialty education to registered nurses so that they can provide foot and nail care for clients in need.
