Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE)

SJSU offers professional degree programs at the Master’s level, fully online undergraduate degree completion programs, advanced certificates, credential programs, and more to meet the diverse needs of current and prospective students, as well as professionals aiming to enhance their careers. 

Our programs, offered in innovative modes (online, asynchronous, and accessible off-site locations) with accessible schedules (evenings, weekends, and summer and winter intersessions) ensure that traditional students, re-entrants to the workforce, career changers, and working professionals have access to our program offerings.

SJSU offers credit-earning courses to augment and complement regularly scheduled classes through our Open University program to non-matriculated students (including disqualified students) on a space-available basis to pursue their educational or personal enrichment goals.

We also provide non-credit Continuing Education courses to offer professionals (e.g., teachers, nurses, etc.) an opportunity to quantify their time in professional development and training activities by having the university maintain a record of their educational accomplishments for non-credit educational and career enhancement experiences.
