The music faculty at San José State is fortunate to be comprised of one of the finest faculties in the country. All have extensive and broad experience in the music performance and teaching disciplines, and are active performing musicians in the Bay Area and beyond. As a result, students frequently have the opportunity to see their instructor on stage, as soloists or in first-tier ensembles, both at SJSU and in the greater Bay area. Because SJSU is located in one of the richest cultural regions in the country, students also have the opportunity to hear some of the best professional performing organizations in the country.
