Administrative Student Assistants

Our Administrative Student Assistant team supports our adminsitrative functions and operations for orientation, transition and retention for new students, parents and families.

2026 Orientation & Transition Team

 The Orientation & Transition Team (OATies) are responsible for the successful transition of our newest Spartans.  OATies will support orientations in January 2025, Summer 2025, and Spartan Spark, SJSU’s fall transition program for first-year students.

2026 NSFP Leadership Team

The NSFP Leadership Team leads the Orientation & Transition Team serving as role models and trainers for OATies, leading events during New Student Orientation, New Spartan Convocation, Spartan Family Weekend, and more.  As returning members of the Orientation & Transition Team, the Leadership Team provides their experience and support to ensure all new student experience a successfull transition into SJSU while supporting the leadership development of their Orientation & Transition Team.

2025 Orientation & Transition Team Members

The Orientation & Transition Team (OATies) serve as group leaders for new students at orientation and lead Spartan Spark teams each Fall.  OATies support the successful transition of our newest Spartans and help them find their place at San Jose State.
