New Spartan Convocation

Join us at our New Spartan Convocation on Monday, August 17th, 2026 at 10am (PST)! 

This FREE event serves as a formal welcome to SJSU and celebrates our new Spartans from the incoming class of Fall 2026, their parents, family members and supporters. Starting at 9am, join us on the 7th street plaza for check in and connecting with campus resources to start the morning. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10am inside in the Provident Credit Union Event Center. You’ll get a chance to hear from administrators including the University President, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Provost, as well as SJSU faculty, staff, and students.This SJSU tradition marks the start of a new academic year and commemorates the beginning of your academic journey. Registration is free and more information will become available later this Spring, stay tuned!
