New Spartan Convocation

The 2025 New Spartan Convocation ceremony will be taking place on Monday, August 18th at 10am in the Provident Credit Union Event Center!

This FREE event serves as a formal welcome to SJSU and celebrates our new Spartans from the incoming class of Fall 2025, their parents, family members and supporters.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 10am inside in the Provident Credit Union Event Center. You’ll get a chance to hear from administrators including the University President and Provost, as well as SJSU students performances! This SJSU tradition marks the start of the new academic year and commemorates the beginning of your journey as a Spartan!

More information regarding registration for this event will become available in late June 2025.
