IBC Training

All laboratory personnel must receive specific training in the handling of biohazards by their PI/instructor who is competent in handling these hazards and associated procedures involving these materials. Additional CITI training modules (or equivalent, documented trainings) are required for work with specific biohazards as indicated in the CITI Training Aligned to Biohazards [pdf] document. Consult the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) for trainings related to Animal Use and Care. Personnel training must be documented and accessible from the room(s) were work with biological hazards are conducted.
