Federal agencies including the NSF, NIH, DoD, USDA, and DOE are mandating Research Security training under the framework of the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 and National Security Presidential Memorandum-33 (NSPM-33).

Research Security Training (Requires CSU login)

• Visit the CITI website.

• After you have created an account with CITI using your SJSU email address, select San Jose State University Courses.

• Click on "add a course or update learner groups."

• Answer the questions provided to determine which courses are applicable to you.  Research Security is at the bottom and the "Combined Course" satisfies the new requirement

Additional factors that fall under the heading of Research Security include  certification by SJSU researchers that they are not participating in a Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program and insider threat awareness training.
