Thank you for your interest in our Aerospace Engineering programs. As you navigate the admissions process, please be aware that the requirements and deadlines can be considerably different, depending on whether you are applying for the BS or MS program, whether you are a domestic or international student, and whether you are a high school or transfer student.
SJSU is part of The California State University system and accepts online applications year round for either Fall or Spring semester.

Change of Major
SJSU students who wish to change their major to BSAE must meet the following minimum requirements:
1. Overall GPA and SJSU GPA should be 2.75 or higher
2. Complete AE20 or AE30, MATH 30/30X, MATH 31/31X, and PHYS 50, all with grades of
C or better.
Please keep in mind that the minimum grade required for all technical courses in the BSAE degree is “C” or better. Hence, if you have met the minimum requirement above but have earned a grade less than “C” in other technical courses required for the major (e.g. Math32, Phys51, Phys52, etc.) you will not be admitted into the BSAE Program until you earn “C" or better in these courses.
Applicants who meet minimum requirements will be also evaluated based on the number of repeated courses. Hence, meeting the minimum requirements above does not guarantee acceptance in the program.
Please follow the Change of Major process described on the Engineering Student Success Center (ESSC) website.
