Student Clubs
The Aerospace Engineering program houses student chapters of professional societies relevant to Aerospace Engineering. We encourage and support these clubs because they provide excellent opportunities to network with industry, work on project teams and competitions, and hone leadership skills.

Club Room: ENGR 240 With more than 35,000 members, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics is the world's largest professional society, principal voice, and information resource devoted to the progress of engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense. The purpose of our student branch is to support the success of San Jose State University's aerospace engineering students. AIAA will provide its members with access to events, workshops, club room resources, research projects, socials, and other related activities that will connect students with professionals and help prepare them for a career in the aerospace industry. |

We’ve worked on cubesats and cansats, collaborating with different student organizations to launch fully functional projects. |

Sigma Gamma Tau The objectives of Sigma Gamma Tau, as stated in the preamble of the Society's national constitution, are: "to recognize and honor those individuals in the field of Aeronautics and Astronautics who have, through scholarship, integrity, and outstanding achievement, been a credit to their profession. The society seeks to foster a high standard of ethics and professional practice and create a spirit of loyalty and fellowship, particularly among students of Aerospace Engineering." |
