What can I do if I have laptop problems or Wi-Fi issues?

SJSU has an equipment loaning program for students to check out laptops and other items such as webcams. You can also contact the IT Help Desk for technical support questions. Free Wi-Fi access is available on campus in various locations, and in the South Campus Park and Ride lot (located at S. 7th Street between Humboldt and Alma Streets).
Students can also use the Eduroam network to access Wi-Fi at other participating campuses, including all CSU campuses. See Technology for more information about these resources.

I need a quiet space to study - where can I go?

SJSU offers a number of study spaces on campus. If you live with family or roommates, you may need to work out a schedule for sharing limited space, or find a place to study outside or at another location.

Is tutoring available online?

Yes. Visit the Academic and Career Support section under Campus Resources for more information on Peer Connections and Writing Center tutoring options. If you live on campus, Faculty-in-Residence offer tutoring for students in campus housing. There are a number of Workshops being offered online as well, on a variety of topics.

Yes. Visit the Advising section under Campus Resources to see the various advising options available. You can also check your major department’s website for program-specific advising information.

Are mental health services available online?

Yes. Counseling & Psychological Services[BROKEN LINK] (CAPS) has a range of options available to support SJSU students.

How do I reach the units in the Student Services Center?

Services provided in the Student Services Center (SSC) are available online for students who need assistance. View a comprehensive list of the units with contact information.
