Lucy Yamakawa Cox, Staff Financial Analyst, provides financial support, coordination, and oversight of all fiscal transactions for the School of Music and Dance and the Spartan Marching Band. She also serves as financial assistant to RTVF, Theatre Arts, and Animation and Illustration. She is financial coordinator for SJSU state accounts, Tower Foundation, Research Foundation, scholarship accounts, student assistant human resource, and special admissions. She serves as recruitment/marketing/ website coordinator, facilities liaison, and concert manager supervisor.

In her spare time, Lucy's life revolves around two active sons who play basketball, baseball, soccer, and flag football. When she manages to get away from SJSU, she enjoys going to the beach, traveling, and visiting her family in Sonoma. She finds that the best part of working at SMD is being around many young, talented students 365 days a year.
