Campus Climate Survey

Periodically, SJSU surveys its students, faculty, staff, and administrators about their perceptions of the campus environment. The results are used to inform policies and track progress toward the university's goals of embracing diversity in all its forms and providing a welcoming and vibrant academic community for all its members.

2020

The Spring 2020 Campus Climate Survey report provides insight into how students viewed their spring 2020 educational experience. More than 4,500 students provided feedback describing their learning environments, coping strategies, and their satisfaction with university communication and services.

Co-authored by Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education Melinda Jackson, College of Social Sciences Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Success Camille Johnson, and Director of Institutional Research Lilian Zheng, the Spring 2020 Campus Climate Survey includes student descriptions of an unprecedented experience of leaving campus and transitioning to remote learning in the middle of the semester due to the COVID-19 health crisis.
