Colleagues,

I am pleased to advise you that the State Controller’s Office (SCO) has officially released its Employee Self-Service Portal to all CSU campuses. Through this portal, employees can view their paycheck information as well as download W-2s and other documents. Employees may register for access to the system from any location and use personal email addresses if desired. You can access the portal and follow the prompt to register. You will need to reference information from a recent pay statement.

This is a much awaited system and will hopefully move the SCO to a paperless approach for issuing pay statements and other documentation.

Live Paychecks

If you are currently receiving a live paycheck, in an effort to reduce the need to come to campus and to minimize contact for our on-campus payroll employees, we urge you to sign up for direct deposit. The SCO is assisting the direct deposit process by accepting electronic forms and focusing more staff on processing these requests. While you are waiting for direct deposit to take effect, please consider authorizing us to mail your live paychecks to you. Please make sure to provide us your current mailing address.

Generally, please update your mailing address in MySJSU as soon as possible so we can easily contact you or get information to you by mail as necessary.

If any departments still have live paychecks that were not picked up prior to the shelter in place order, please return the paychecks at your earliest convenience to University Personnel (UP). Checks and any other mail you may have for UP should be placed in the UP mailbox located in the University Police Department lobby, open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

If you have employees reporting to you who do not regularly access email, please notify them of the above information.
