Lisa Ives
Director of Development
Lisa Ives joined the College of Social Sciences as Director of Development in December 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in relationship-building and philanthropy. Before this role, she spent two successful years fundraising for the College of Engineering, where she cultivated meaningful connections with donors to align their passions and philanthropic goals with impactful initiatives.
Prior to her time at SJSU, Lisa served as Director of Philanthropy for the Girl Scouts of Northern California while earning her MBA. Her career journey began in the United Kingdom, where she spent over 20 years in strategic human resources and community engagement.
Since relocating to San Jose in 2016 with her family, Lisa has embraced her new community, becoming a Girl Scout troop leader for 15 high schoolers, competing locally with a women’s rowing team and sitting on numerous philanthropic committees. She lives with her husband, teenage daughter, and their energetic chocolate Labrador, Stella.
Lisa is passionate about fostering partnerships that create opportunities and transform lives through education. She would be delighted to connect with anyone who shares her enthusiasm for making a difference.
