Student Clubs

The Silicon Valley Center for Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Center at San José State University is proud to support two active student clubs: the Cyber Intelligence Security Organization (CISO) and the Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) student chapter. These clubs give students hands-on experience with real-world cybersecurity projects outside of the classroom. Members also benefit from professional workshops, guest speakers from industry and government, and community engagement opportunities.

Our student organizations aim to provide enriching experiences beyond the classroom. Through these clubs, members can deepen their understanding of cybersecurity by engaging in hands-on projects, participating in competitions, attending talks from industry experts and receiving guidance on certifications and career paths. These organizations also emphasize community engagement and outreach initiatives.

They offer an excellent platform for students to develop practical skills, connect with professionals, and prepare for careers in the rapidly expanding field cybersecurity. Students also have the opportunity to attend prominent cybersecurity events such as the RSA Conference, DEF CON, and BSides, making these clubs an excellent platform for building practical skills, networking with professionals and preparing for careers in cybersecurity.
