CFETI Meeting Spaces
The CFETI team is delighted to share our creative spaces, each uniquely designed to enrich the teaching and learning experience. These spaces are more than mere rooms; they are dynamic, interactive environments crafted for collaboration, innovation, and impactful educational development. Here's a closer look at what each of our spaces offers:
The Learning Lounge (IRC 212)
As a multi-purpose space, it functions both as a consultation area for instructional designers and as a turn-key desk casting studio for faculty. Faculty can reserve this space for meetings or project work, with options to add instructional design or video production consultations. It features a user-friendly desk studio setup, complete with a professional backdrop, ring light, and microphone.
The Collaborative Classroom (IRC 202)
Comfortably seating up to 50, this meeting room is equipped with portable tables, an Owl camera for hybrid meetings, projector, and whiteboard. It is a great space for departmental meetings, training sessions, and faculty showcase events. Faculty can reserve this space for meetings, sessions or events. Departments can enrich their meetings with CFETI’s training offerings, such as brief sessions on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Canvas.
The Creative Studio (IRC 210)
This studio, with a lightboard and a professional video shooting area, is ideal for faculty aiming to produce high-quality instructional videos. Whether your goal is to create Khan Academy-style presentations or engaging course welcome videos, our dedicated videographer will work with you from the initial planning stages to the final production. The studio is also geared towards integrating multimodal content into courses, in collaboration with our instructional designers.
Innovative Exploration Space (IRC 308)
Tailored for hands-on instructional innovation, this adaptable space is ready to meet a variety of needs, from virtual reality sessions to educational research projects. Our team provides support for room setup and equipment preparation, allowing instructors to concentrate on their teaching and experimentation.
